course in good shape, greens running around a 10.
staff at course is top notch.
fairways were mostly straightforward, a few blind tee shots.

1/15/2012 Under construction for the next year, course will be closing soon. Don't go, workers everywhere, tractors, fencing, etc

Greens are the best of Austin munis.

Hot summer in Austin but Morris Williams is in great shape. The fairways are green and the greens in excellent shape. The par fours are challenging but fair. A very good muni course.

For a municipal course it was in good shape though the greens were aerated. Played as a single and got paired with less experienced players and even though we let 2 groups play through the round only took 4 hours. This course is short but has some interesting holes. For the money it was a good experience. This course was next to an active international airport and was very noisy. Now that the airport has closed it is a good place to play.

Fairways and Greens in great shape when I played on 6-1-08. Greens are slow compared to higher priced courses, but very well maintained. The greens are also elevated, so be sure to take dead aim or else your ball will role 20 to 30 feet away from the green. They are not forgiving if you miss by a few feet. Practice your chipping and pitching before playing this course.

Best shape I've seen it in in over 30 years....!! Yahoo, and good price deals too.

MoWilly is a hard course with a great layout. If only they would grow some grass. With green fees cheap as dirt, like all Austin munis (except Jimmy Clay), you can't say you're not getting your money's worth. Nearly every fairway plays uphill or downhill or both. The medium to fast greens are protected by moguls that make chipping difficult. But it plays even harder because it's seldom in good shape. The greens are decent, but the fairways crap. Weeds are everywhere and the grass is thin. This could be a great course if better maintained.
